2. As I said to many of you--I know, it was really hard for you to pay attention on the last day of school!--this has been a strange year for me with all of the health challenges my older son faced, the death of my father, and a few other obstacles thrown at my family. I know that you too have to face difficult things in life, even when you are not ready to do so. Still, I also know that I would never have made it through this school year without you all. Whether it was you or your families checking on me, or whether it was the warm welcome you gave me when I returned, I want you to know that it made a huge positive difference in my life. Please keep that in mind. You truly can impact someone's life just by being yourselves, by smiling at someone who needs it, by talking to someone you might not normally talk to, by listening, and by remembering that even classmates who look happy around you on the outside may be struggling with something on the inside. Be there for them! Those are the things that matter so much more than English or any of your other subjects in school! I can't wait to see you all next year, so please stay safe this summer--you owe it to yourselves!
1. I have posted on Google Classroom all review materials and room assignment information. Good luck!
